First we get set up at Surf Grove Campground which is one of the only campgrounds that are open year around. The Whale Centre Tofino - Today we head out in the waters around Tofino and the Clayoquot Sound area. During the Spring and Fall, the grey whales, and humpbacks migrate along the coast from Baja to Alaska. So this is a great time of year to come check them out, Plus we lucked out on the weather. Tofino is actually home to resident grey whales, including individuals identified by researchers like #32 here. These whales can be seen feeding locally for months, and we even get a wave from #32. Well we had an absolute blast out on the water and want to thank Jean Yves for a great time and showing us some gorgeous scenery, sea mammals and birds.
