When I first received my tracheostomy tube, I used an inner cannula. I thought a person was required to use an inner cannula when using a tracheostomy tube. However, when my doctor changed out my first tracheostomy tube to a Portex Bivona Tight to Shaft tracheostomy tube, I found out not all trach tubes have inner cannulas. Thus, I stopped using an inner cannula. #trachtube #innercannula #lifewithavent
