Ingredients
Gram Flour / Besan - 1 cup
Rice Flour / Chaval Ka Aata - 2 Tablespoon
Water - As Required
Salt - As Per Taste
Turmeric powder / Haldi - 1/4 Teaspoon
Cumin Powder / Jeera Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
Red Chili Powder - As Per Taste
Ginger Green Chili Paste / Adrakh Hari Mirch Paste - 1 Teaspoon
Oil - As Required
FOR TOPPINGS :
Onion / Pyaz - 1 Finely Chopped
Capsicum - 1 Finely Chopped
Carrot / Gajar - 1 Grated
Sweet Corn - 1/2 Cup Parboiled
Red Chili Flakes - As Required
Coriander Leaves - As Required
Instructions
Take a bowl add gram flour, rice flour, then add water to make thick but little flowing consistency batter.
Now add salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, ginger green chili paste in batter and mix it well.
Meanwhile heat a tava and grease it with oil and Pour the batter to make small pancakes.
Top the pancakes with chopped onion, capsicum, carrot, sweetcorn Press it with spatula. Pour some oil drops.
When cooked from one side, flip it. Keep the flame on low. Cook the other side. When it turn into golden color from both the side sprinkle chili flakes and coriander leaves on top.
Roast both side till become crunchy.
Besan Vegetable Uttapam is ready to serve with green chutney or ketchup.
