Celebrate Holi with this rich, creamy and refreshing traditional Thandai made with soaked nuts, aromatic spices, and saffron! This classic Indian festive drink is full of flavor and perfect for cooling down during summer and festive gatherings.
In this video, I’ll show you step-by-step how to make authentic Thandai at home — from soaking almonds and cashews to grinding them with fennel, cardamom, pepper, and blending everything into chilled milk for that royal taste.
🥛 Ingredients (For 1 Litre Thandai):
1 litre full-fat milk
1/2 cup almonds
10–12 cashews (soaked)
1 tbsp melon seeds (magaz)
1 tbsp poppy seeds (khus khus)
1 tbsp fennel seeds (saunf)
4–5 green cardamom
5–6 black peppercorns
8–10 saffron strands
4–5 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
1 tbsp rose water (optional)
Ice cubes (optional)
