One of Canada's largest ever recorded earthquakes on land recently struck the border of Yukon and Alaska, registering in as a magnitude 7.0. Yet, despite the magnitude of the event, no damage of any kind was recorded due to the quake's epicenter in a dense icefield which is unpopulated. Today's video will discuss why this earthquake occurred through the perspective of a geologist.
Note: The earthquake in question occurred on December 6th, 2025.
