Northeast Ohio Weather Impact forecast: More cold and snow to end 2025

Описание: Your 6 p.m. Northeast Ohio Weather Impact forecast for Dec. 31, 2025: Our Alberta Clipper snow has arrived and is making for some slippery travel on this New Year's Eve.

Bursts of moderate to heavy snow are possible for the PM rush hour as well as thru the evening hours. This will mean some slowdowns to the evening commute and any evening NYE plans. Snow totals area-wide tonight will range from around 2 inches to as much as 5 inches... with most of this falling before midnight. Some snow squalls in this snow could cause low visibility and quick accumulations.

The widespread snow should exit between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Thursday. So, dry weather is possible for some of us by the time the ball drops, but temperatures stay frigid all night. Low temperatures drop into the teens tonight with wind chills near zero at times.

New Year's Day includes a few peeks of sun but also more snow! Another weak low pressure system will drop in from the northwest during the day stirring up a few scattered snow showers. And then, we could see additional lake effect snow bands move into the primary snow belt by late afternoon or evening with some additional snow to shovel there.
