Cleveland area weather forecast: A little bit more snow this weekend

Описание: Your 6 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Jan. 2, 2026: Lake-effect snow from eastern Cuyahoga County into Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties will be winding down over the early evening hours tonight. Additional accumulations will be light. All Winter Weather Advisories are set to expire before 7 p.m. tonight.

Look for mostly cloudy skies tonight across Northern Ohio. Grab that warm coat as low temperatures are expected to drop into the teens.

Saturday will bring another day of mainly cloudy skies. A quick-moving clipper system will produce a few light snow showers in spots. Impacts will be minimal. Some lakeshore areas could see another inch of snow by daybreak Sunday.

An overall warmer weather pattern will be inbound for the first week of January. Cold air will be in place as a warm front lifts through Monday morning. Wet snow showers will develop along the front. Expect a lot of melting with temperatures soaring into the 40s and 50s with periodic rain showers.
