I was delighted to come across this new piece which, both in text and music, was purposely and unapologetically created as a queer counterpart to the well-known A Boy and a Girl we just performed. It is exceedingly rare to find LGBTQ+ representation in the subject matter of choral music. The fact that this elegant piece centers a love story between two men is a step in the right direction.
