I 3D-printed a nonplanar lampshade by coding a bespoke slicer to make the G-Code instructions in Grasshopper and Rhino CAD software. This allows us to make a really unique and beautiful lampshade that can’t otherwise be made with conventional 3D printing slicers!
In this video I explain the overall process I used to make a non-planar lampshade and how it took me over 18 tries to get to where it is today.
