Day 1 of the Cotswold Festival of Steam 2025 kicks off with unexpected delays, but the action soon ramps up in spectacular fashion! While the cause of the initial hold-up remains unclear, steam fans were treated to some incredible sights once the trains got moving.

🚂 The highlight of this video is the unforgettable double-headed departure of both visiting well tanks, with No. 15 providing additional power on the rear—a rare formation that thrilled the crowds.

Before the well tanks take centre stage, we catch a dramatic departure of 7903 Foremarke Hall hauling a freight train, where lucky passengers enjoyed the unique experience of riding in the brake vans for just £20.

We’re also treated to the arrival of home fleet favourite 2807, making a classic entrance just before the well tanks set off toward Winchcombe.
