2023 SCCA Hoosier Super Tour COTA GT2 Race 1 - #81 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup - Onboard + Broadcast Edit

Описание: This was a messy race where I started last, all due to a mishap in qualifying where a cone from grid got wedged in my front left wheel well and locked the wheel, destroying that tire with a monster flat spot. Having said that I had a decent start and made up a bunch of positions on the first lap, however unfortunately spun in the last corner over some fluid from an engine failure from Micheal McAleenan's McLaren.

Fortunately while I went last again after that spin, I didn't lose too much time since the field got neutralized to full course yellow, due to a stalled car at turn 1. After 5-6 mins in FCY we got started again and I got to work making my way back up the field, thankfully not spinning out again. I encountered various clusters of cars and usually was able to pass due to the car's superior power. I had fun doing this although I was pretty conservative in only making obvious, high percentage moves.

It was only in the last couple laps I was relatively unimpeded and could get within range of my quali lap. I ended up finishing 25th out of 41 overall, 7th in class. I think overall that's not too bad, however I had hoped to have a bit better pace but am still very much getting used to this car, which I was just on my second race weekend on.
