Today we have brought for you a recipe for a very traditional Gulab Kheer dessert which is an all-time favorite of people of all age groups. Gulab Kheer is a very popular dessert that is made in almost every household in India. We at VikTar’s Kitchen have made this recipe very simple, very unique, and finger-licking awesome in taste. The aroma of the syrup made from fresh Rose petals makes this desert very tempting.

Ingredients
1. Full Cream Milk -- 1 Litre (Boiled)
2. Rice – ½ Cup (Soaked in Water for 2 Hours)
3. Sugar – ½ Cup
4. Fresh Rose petals – 1 Bowl
5. Cashew Nuts – 15-20
6. Almonds – 15-20
7. Rose Essence ½ - 1 Tsp (As per taste)
8. Pink Food Colour – ½ Tsp.
Process:
Take 1 Litre of Boiled Milk in a Pan and heat it for 3-4 minutes on medium flame.
Add ½ Bowl-Soaked Rice and cook on a Low Flame.
Till the time Rice cooks let us prepare Rose syrup.
Take ½ cup sugar in a Steel Pot and add ½ cup water to it and Heat on a Low Flame for 3-4 minutes or till the sugar starts melting.
Increase the flame to high and add 1 bowl of Fresh Rose Petals.
Boil the Rose petals in the hot sugar syrup for 4-5 minutes.
Now add ½ Tsp Pink Food color to the Rose Syrup and Mix well.
Add ½ Tsp Rose essence for that perfect Rose Fragrance.
Rose Syrup is Ready.
Strain the Rose syrup into a separate bowl.
Rice has also Cooked Perfectly and the Milk has also thickened
Now add the rose syrup and mix it well with the Milk and Rice.
Cook for another 5-6 minutes while stirring it slowly but continuously.
Gulab Kheer is Ready.
Transfer to a serving Bowl
Garnish with Cashews and Almonds
Decorate Gulab Kheer with Fresh Rose Petals.
Refrigerate for 1 hour and serve the delicious Gulab Kheer Desert.
