His Canadian perspective outlines how ideology can become idolatry in the MAGA movement.
Richard Betts, author of “A New History of Western Psychology” (under the pen-name Richard Valentine), responds from the UK, exploring some of the social-psychological dimensions of the MAGA movement, drawing on his teaching and research in a range of academic disciplines centred on the history of ideas.
