Many of us have been disappointed in the past over the weight f kids bikes. Often the kids bikes are almost as heavy as your adult bike. Certainly makes it less enjoyable for the kids, and we are generally trying to entice them away from the TV or computer games.

The Malvern Star Livewire girls bike is designed to be easier to push. They achieve this with a combination of lighter weight and less rolling resistance. The bike is simply easier to ride. Also because they can get up to a higher speed very quickly, it is easier to get their balance, which makes a huge difference to the ease of pedalling. Of course that one depends on their confidence, not just the bike.

It has 7 gears, with a light action shift lever, that makes them easy to use. Most kids gain the ability to change gears very quickly.

The Livewire has tyres with reduced rolling resistance, the tyres are not as knobby, and the casing is a higher quality. This means that the bike requires less effort to pedal. Combined with this is the lower weight, and when you watch the kids riding, they take certainly notice the difference (hopefully the colour is right, though).
