Join me on this beautiful adventure to Norvan Falls in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park, North Vancouver! A relaxing 14km round-trip hike through lush old-growth forest, following the rushing Lynn Creek all the way to the powerful Norvan Falls. No snow on the ground this time, just that classic misty rainforest vibe with foggy conditions and the falls roaring, perfect mild winter escape!
This is one of the best low-elevation hikes near Vancouver, mostly flat, accessible year-round, dog-friendly (on leash), and a great option when you want waterfalls without the high-elevation challenges.
Trail Stats:
Distance: 14km (8.7 miles) round trip
Elevation Gain: ~400m (1312 ft) – super gentle!
Time: 4-5 hours
Difficulty: Moderate (long but mostly flat)
Location: Lynn Headwaters Regional Park (free parking in winter)
Tips: Waterproof boots for muddy sections and creek vibes, layers for the cool damp air, snacks, and check conditions on AllTrails or Vancouver Trails. Watch for slippery roots and rocks!
