Bios:

Eleni Linos MD, MPH, DrPH, is the Director of the Stanford Center for Digital Health. She is a Professor of Dermatology and Epidemiology at Stanford University. Dr. Linos also serves as an Associate Dean for Research, leading the KL2 Research Training Program. Dr. Linos' research focuses on the use of technology in health, dermatology, public health, cancer prevention and the care of older adults. She is dually trained in epidemiology and dermatology and is the principal investigator of several NIH funded studies aimed at improving the lives of patients. She received her medical degree from Cambridge and Oxford universities in the UK, received a masters and doctoral degree from the Harvard School of Public Health and completed her residency at Stanford.

Adam Gazzaley, MD, PhD, is the David Dolby Distinguished Professor of Neurology, Physiology and Psychiatry, and the Founder & Executive Director of Neuroscape at UCSF. Dr. Gazzaley is co-founder of Akili and JAZZ Venture Partners. He has been a scientific advisor for dozens of companies, filed multiple patents—notably his invention of the first video game cleared by the FDA, authored over 190 scientific articles and delivered over 760 invited presentations around the world. He wrote and hosted the nationally-televised PBS special “The Distracted Mind with Dr. Adam Gazzaley” and co-authored the 2016 MIT Press book “The Distracted Mind: Ancient Brains in a High-Tech World”, winner of the 2017 PROSE Award. He is the recipient of the 2015 SfN Science Educator Award, the 2020 Global Gaming Citizen Honor, and was named in Newsweek's 2021 Inaugural list of America’s Greatest Disruptors.

Alex Leow, MD, PhD, is a Professor in Psychiatry, Biomedical Engineering, and Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago and an attending physician at the University of Illinois Hospital. Co-founder of the Computational Neuroimaging and Connected Technology lab, Dr. Leow leads the BiAffect study, the first crowd-sourced iPhone study that turns smartphones into “brain fitness trackers” using naturalistic smartphone keyboard typing metadata (i.e., not what you type but how you type it).
Dr. Leow and her research have been extensively featured in the news, including the Chicago Tribune, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, the Associated Press, Rolling Stone, NBC News, IEEE EMBS society, NPR’s All Things Considered, FreeThink, and TEDxChicago.

Jun Ma, MD, PhD, is the Beth and George Vitoux Distinguished Professor of Medicine and Director of the Vitoux Program on Clinical Research for Equitable Health at the University of Illinois Chicago, where she also serves as Vice Head of Clinical Research in the Department of Medicine. A physician-scientist specializing in preventive and translational behavioral medicine, Dr. Ma has secured over $62 million in NIH and federal funding as Principal Investigator since 2008. She has led 16 clinical trials evaluating behavioral and psychological interventions for patients at risk for chronic conditions—including obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and depression—in primary care settings. Nationally recognized for her leadership, she is Chair-Elect of the American Heart Association’s Lifestyle and Cardiometabolic Health Council and serves on the Executive Council of the Academy of Behavioral Medicine Research. She is also Associate Editor of the Annals of Behavioral Medicine and Past Chair of the Publications Council for the Society of Behavioral Medicine.
