Описание: On this day in 1982, the Montreal Expos were hard at work defending their territory at Olympic Stadium, but the St. Louis Cardinals had a plan to take control of the place, and it worked. Soon, the Birds of '82 were on their way to compete in...and eventually destroy...that year's world series.

But before we get ahead of ourselves, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this historic moment, we have for you the final half-hour of that game as it originally aired over NBC's St. Louis outlet, KSDK Channel 5. And in addition to the very picture that tells the tale, we have for you post-game interviews and (of course) the commercials that aired alongside this chapter in St. Louis history.
