This is Part 1/3 in a series where I am going to modify my IPC 4U-4088-S "Server" casing. It is great until you get to the point where you need to use more than 7 disks.
So I decided to make a Backplane for SATA and modify the casing accordingly. Bought once are to expensive, dont have enough ports or use SAS. If you can, DIY :)
It performance very well and we also have full SATA 3 speed (tested with a SSD).
