Day 3 of Lions Global Service Week 2026 in Visakhapatnam (Vizag), India started before the sun came up and ended with something none of us will ever forget.

🌅 5:30 AM — Diabetes Screenings at the Community Park

Before most of the city was awake, our Lions were already set up and serving. We screened community members and early morning runners right there on the park grounds, bringing vital diabetes health checks directly to the people of Vizag.ing legacy that will grow long after we have gone home.

👁️ 3,000+ Kids Screened at School
We arrived at the school and got to work. Over 3,000 children received vision screenings today — bringing our total for the week to over 6,500 screenings across Vizag. Eye doctors who have traveled from around the world are here, united by one mission: to give every child the gift of clear sight.

⛈️ The Storm Hit — And We Didn't Stop
Midway through the day, the skies opened up. Thunder, lightning, and heavy rain tried to shut us down. It didn't work. Our Lions covered their equipment, adjusted, and kept screening. Every single child who needed to be seen was seen. 2,700+ screenings completed today alone.t is what Lions do.
