Monster Sanctuary Speedrun Any% (

Описание: This is a glitched speedrun. No cheats, mods or macros were used while playing. I used a keyboard and a controller both on this run.

Here are the timestamps and short explanations for the glitches:
0:36 Infinite jumps glitch. Load any other save and jump or pause as soon as possible when you load the save back. Controller seems to work better than keyboard for this glitch and this glitch gets harder later on.
3:00 Door clipping. Standing next to some doors while loading in and jumping, you fall through the ground. There is little room below, so you need to time your flight well.
6:34 2x Game speed. Set battle animation speed to 2x, use a smoke bomb, switch monsters and use any move with a battle animation. Needs to be timed well to make it work. (This speed stays until you engage in combat again or hard reset the game.)
11:11 New glitch, the turn glitch! If you switch a monster with your last action every turn, the turn does not count as a turn in the score screen. You'll have to use all monsters in one turn in the fight or it will just display 0 turns in the score screen and still count every turn. You'll get 1 turn fight, scoring 6500 (on champion fights) or 6000 (on normal fights).
1:13:26 Trigger skipping. While having 2x game speed stand near the trigger location and save&exit and reload the game while holding move button.
1:16:34 Julia fight trigger skip is a pixel perfect and only works if you hard reset the game, get 2x speed and save&exit in a specific room. This Catzerker fight is closest room with an encounter that works. (Save at the specific pixel, hard reset the game, load another save and get 2x speed, load the original save while holding left.)
1:11:16 Extra turn glitch. Using 2 smoke bombs can give you extra turns. I have been able to get up to 2 and 2/3 turns before enemy has a turn. It is hard to control and I only use it in a few difficult fights throughout the run. (Your first monster must have enough mana to cast 2 spells for this to work.)


Some of my thoughts on the run:

New route! Newly found turn glitch lets us easily 6 star champions and I found a way to beat the game without Diavola at level 10-12.

This run is more like proof of concept of the new route. I'll refine the route and try to lower the time.

1:45:50 6 staring champions gives a lot of reward boxes and I use them here to get a monster that can active Ice Orbs to get Cestus +5. Level 1 boxes can give Ice Blob and Level 2 boxes can give a Shard of Winter (to evolve Minitaur to Megataur, this requires another monster with an ability to break walls to get the 6th Shift Stone before the last fights). Great thing is that if you are unlucky you can just exit without saving and try again.

1:58:50 Here is the new strategy vs Madlord. Apply 3 Burn, 3 Poison, Weakness, Shock and keep stacking Wound with Akhlut while Elderjel stays alive to resurrect the team. This plan can fail... Running out or Phoenix Tears and Potions will end the fight fast, or if Elderjel dies twice (it has Phoenix Affinity to self resurrect once).
