Watch the Centering Indigenous Knowledge webinar that was recorded on August 2, 2022. This is the first webinar of six of the Strengthening Museum Relationships with Indigenous Peoples Webinar Series.
Our special guests were Melissa Shaginoff (Ahtna/Paiute), S’áḵjayéi Yarrow Vaara (Lingít) and Navraq Lisa Ellanna (Iñupiaq/King Island).
Our hosts were Cutmen Candace Branson (Sugpiaq) and Qunmiġu Kacey Hopson (Iñupiaq).
@firstalaskansinstitute3753 and @museumsalaska9653 hosted a webinar series committed to reimagining and fostering meaningful relationships with Alaska’s Tribes and Indigenous peoples. The Program’s goal is to transform institutions that are uniquely positioned to protect culturally significant artifacts and grow understanding about the lives of Alaska Native people, past and present. This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
