✅Brignole Squat
🔺I’ve been using this squat variation for nearly 6 years consistently, and technique has become even more refined especially with heavier loads.
🔺Very Common Error:
When I first started this squat variation, I executed the exercise in a way that involved the glutes too much, taking away from the quad stimulus (from ‘reciprocal inhibition’) even though I moved “more weight”.
🔺I’ve now progressed to those heavier weights ‘with execution that prioritizes’ the quadriceps to a very high degree.
🔺At bodyweight of 175lbs, I’ll work up to 180lbs on each weight stack for sets of 8 reps after beginning with higher rep sets at lighter loads and progressing.
