Описание: He helped put Reebok on the map; He turned in one of the greatest dunk contest performances of all time as the first Boston Celtic to participate and win the Dunk Contest, and he had the difficult task of trying to take the reigns of the storied Celtics after the sudden death of Reggie Lewis. And although Dee Brown’s career looks underwhelming, he was a very talented player when he came in the league, and looked like he could be a perfect complement to Reggie Lewis for years to come, but he would suffer a major knee injury before his second NBA season and never truly get back to who he was. Then as Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish each left the team, all while they were reeling from the loss of Reggie Lewis, Brown had a lot of the spotlight put on him, and while he couldn’t live up to high expectations of Celtics fans, there’s not many that can, and Brown did a good job being a bright spot during a down period of Celtics Basketball. As his years went on, his injuries got worse and the Celtics went in a different direction, but he would still have some productive years with a young Toronto Raptors team, as a great veteran alongside Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady. His career ended after a couple of years with the Orlando Magic in the early 2000s, before he embarked on another career in coaching. But when talking about his playing career, when he was healthy he was better than he gets credit for, and played in the NBA for over a decade; and if he’s not going to get credit for his entire career, at least he’ll always be remembered for the 1991 NBA Dunk Contest and his Reebok Pumps.
