While they were all incredible players, Chris Mullin's career may be the most overlooked out of all Dream Team Members. A basketball standout in New York from a young age, Chris Mullin became a 4 year Big East standout with the St. John's Redmen under head coach Lou Carnesecca in the 80s, playing alongside guys like Mark Jackson and Walter Berry. He would join an underachieving Golden State Warriors team through the 1985 NBA Draft; joining players like Purvis Short and Sleepy Floyd. But just a few years into his career, he had to face his demons. So Mullin acknowledged his addiction and sough help for his alcoholism, and after doing this, his career took a turn for the best. From 1989-1993, Mullin was an MVP candidate and one of the league's best players. In that time, he would join forces with Tim HArdaway and Mitch Richmond to form Run TMC; who would overwhelm teams with their relentless pace in Don Nelson's Run N Gun offense. The trio would quickly be disbanded, and after reaching his peak in 1992; injuries would steal the next 4 years of Mullin's career. As even though the Warriors had incredible young talent like Billy Owens, Latrell Sprewell, Chris Webber and Joe Smith, injuries always held them back from doing anything with it, and Mullin was often one of the players on IR. After over a decade in GOlden State, he spent three years with the Indiana Pacers, helping them to three straight conference Finals appearances and an NBA Finals appearance in 2000. Chris Mullin used his insane work ethic and incomparable basketball IQ to close the gap between him and his more physically gifted peers; as a prime Chris Mullin was one of the league's best all around players and best shooters of his era; and even though he couldn't win it all in the NBA, he'll always be apart of one of the most memorable Gold Medals in Olympic History.
