When leading stakeholder meetings, especially during the discovery phase, it's often important to create a space where all stakeholders feel comfortable sharing and discussing risks, fears, and assumptions. During this phase, it's key that everyone is in the mindset where recognizing that we are making a lot of assumptions and labeling those as assumptions instead of knowns is crucial so we don't make decisions based on those assumptions.
So, sometimes a good way to lead those stakeholder meetings is by asking questions that encourage everyone to think about things like risks, assumptions, and concerns and do it in a way where those who are more quiet or need more time to think and form an opinion will also be heard.
