Families in Singapore hiring new Indonesian domestic helpers may face delays as long as two months. Indonesia has tightened border controls since last month, amid fears of illegal human trafficking. Various employment agencies in Singapore said delays in bringing in Indonesia domestic helpers started in late May. CNA found out it affects those that did not go through the Indonesian embassy to get official employment contracts for new workers.
