Let's Buzz Saw Some Slabs and Branches

Описание: Today's video is a different version of more of the same. In other words, yes we are using the buzz saw to process wood for the fire burning appliances. And yes, we are processiing tree limbs into 16" lengths but we are also concentrating on sawing small, medium and large slabs off the sawmill too. Same old boring stuff you think. But you may be mistaken because I've not seen too many videos of guys sawing slabs quite like I do. So stay tuned and you'll see something a little bit different in addition to the same old thing.
I still find it astonishing to see the number of people that have never seen a buzz saw in operation and consider it to be more dangerous than using a chainsaw to process limbs. Think of it. A buzz saw has a stationary blade rotating and an identical speed from start to finish....ALL IN THE SAME PLACE !! Now on the other hand with a chainsaw you have an unbalanced tool in your hand(a) while stepping over tree branches with it running. Then you begin blocking branches into 16" lengths which, as they fall to the ground, create a myriad of rollers for you to step on whist maneuvering said running chainsaw. Throw in a little snow for good measure and a few vines or saplings in the woods and you might come to realize really soon how now in your seventh decade on God's Green Earth you realize the lack the absolute perfect balance you once enjoyed in your 20's through 40's. About that time your diminished brain cell number begins to realize that you have created a ton of ''bending over and picking up'' for all those little short pieces. About then you think of your lovely Missus at home pleasantly baking your favorite apple pie or sitting at the table after having prepared your favorite warm lunch. All alone. And here you are 20 miles from home with all this work you've created for yourself and no possibility of getting done in time to partake in the finer things of life like a relaxing, nourishing and warm lunch.....all because you are afraid of a silly little buzz saw that stays in one place, lightens your workload and keeps you in proximity of the dinner bell that brings a smile to your haggard face.
So it stands to reason a buzz saw keeps a family close, ensures you of timely prepared warm meals AND minimizes your effort to fill the woodshed. What more can a simple man want ? Ok, I can answer that too. It stands to reason if ONE buzz saw is good for you, TWO buzz saws would be twice as good and of course your lovely Missus would have to agree that now you need another tractor to power the second life-extending power tool.
