Gary Redenbacher in California shot this video about how to remove the existing cutter head, make the modification to casting and install Sheartak spiral cutter head to upgrade Hitachi F1000A planer. The old F1000A planer- jointer is still one of the best combination machines after so many years. In order to have the same cutting circle as the original cutter head, modification has to be made. Follow this video, it is very informative and helpful.
