The Tata Group is scaling up its investments in Tamil Nadu. Jaguar Land Rover has inaugurated a ₹9,000 crore automobile manufacturing plant in Ranipet with a capacity of 2.5 lakh units annually and 5,000 jobs. Built in just 16 months, the facility marks a major milestone for Tata Motors’ passenger vehicle arm. Meanwhile, Tata Chemicals has announced a ₹515 crore greenfield salt manufacturing unit in Ramanathapuram, reinforcing the group’s long-term manufacturing commitment to the state.
