This is the first episode of my holiday mini-series where I build a fully digital Advent Calendar deployed on Cloudflare Workers.
In Part 1, we focus on the foundations:
Setting up the Cloudflare project
Configuring Wrangler
Creating the static layout using only HTML and CSS
For the design and layout, I’ll explore AI-assisted frontend design tools, including the Frontend Design plugin from Claude and v0, to quickly generate a clean visual starting point.
No JavaScript yet — that comes in Part 2, where we’ll add interactivity, DOM manipulation, and logic for opening the daily boxes.
This episode lays all the groundwork for the interactive logic, animations, and daily unlock behavior coming in the next parts of the series.
