Описание: Vis is a town and seat of the municipality on the island of Vis in the Adriatic in southern Croatia. Its population is nearly 2000 inhabitants and administratively belongs to the Split-Dalmatia county. It is located in a relatively large and sheltered bay of Sveti Juraj, on the northeastern side of the island facing the island of Hvar and Dalmatian mainland.
