Описание: Christ The King feast day was celebrated on 23-11-2025 at Holy Cross Church – Kurla West, Mumbai. The feast day procession was in the evening at 5.30pm. The parishioners moved first in a line with singing of hymns and prayers. There was live East Indian band played during the entire procession. The Priest carried the blessed Eucharist during the entire procession followed by other priests, nuns and irmavs. There were children carrying small baskets with petals of flowers and this were used during the entire procession. The priest gave blessing to the congregation on this feast day.
The Feast of Christ the King or Lord Jesus Christ King of the Universe is the feast celebrated on the last Sunday before Advent. This feast was first instituted in 1925 by Pope Pius XI. It emphasizes Christ’s sovereignty over all creation and acknowledging his kingship through faith, worship and act of love and service towards one another. Christ has not only authority, divine authority and power but personal excellence and holiness, surpassing all creatures.
