I had already visited the Huldujökull panoramic viewpoint a few years ago, but as I was back in Þakgil to hike the Red Trail, I could not pass up the opportunity to visit it again.
The Red Trail, however, is more than worth a visit to Þakgil by itself. You; 'll pass by beautiful canyons, quintessential Icelandic landscapes, waterfalls, and glacier views.
