This was one of the songs that always jumped out at me: tense, driving, and just a little bit ominous in that unmistakable Pink Floyd way.

He recently had the album on again when I was visiting him, which brought back a wave of nostalgia… including the familiar sight of him eventually falling asleep on the couch while it played (literally just like Tony in that one episode of The Sopranos). It felt like the perfect moment to turn that memory into something tangible.

Originally written by Roger Waters, David Gilmour, and Bob Ezrin, Run Like Hell is one of the most rhythmically propulsive tracks on The Wall, built around its iconic delay-driven guitar pattern and pulsing groove. This version leans into that forward momentum, translating the hypnotic tension into retro-futuristic synth textures and heavier metallic weight — while keeping the underlying urgency intact.

Part tribute, part sonic experiment, and definitely inspired by many late-night couch concerts.
