We're moving on to our first track off of The World is in Your Hands that has lyrics, and this one should clearly indicate the direction we're going in when it comes to the album. Everything should have a slightly more cross-cultural sound that feels more global, which was something I wanted to embrace for both the album, and the world of Tellest as a whole.

Dragonspeaker follows the first big adventure of Kaiyonani, a kaja from the Kehara Desert in Saveon, whose tribe has just been dealt a terrible blow. Their dragon protector has been slain. Her grandfather, Haemado, the tribe's previous dragonspeaker, has now lost his bond, and he sees that his granddaughter must take up the mantle and forge a new bond with one of their previous dragon's brood. This song is about Kaiyonani searching and finding Telarus, and the bond they forge.

These lyrics were written in part by me, and the music was generated with the help of AI tools. This project is a blend of my own storytelling and the new possibilities that modern technology opens up. It creates something I hope feels both epic and deeply tied to the fantasy world of Tellest.

We're calling the fictional artist who works on this music Find the Way.

The artwork featured in this video was commissioned from RedPear, an artist who we had collaborated with many times on character concepts throughout the years. She also helped me with interim covers for my books. Last I heard, she had become a lawyer and had slowed down with art, but I'll always remember the excellent work she provided for the Tellest brand.
