• Level 1: Self-Regulation—Your ability to calm your nervous system enough to be present.
• Level 2: Micro Co-regulation—Low-intensity connection (like parallel activity or calm presence) without emotional pressure.
• Level 3: Explicit Co-regulation—Directly asking for support without urgency, best done with trained or deeply trustworthy people.
• Level 4: Earned Security—Flexibility and healthy repair, where closeness feels safe and distance is tolerable.
