Received my Goal Zero 100 watt Briefcase solar panel Friday.
I got this to charge up my Yeti 400 Lithium generator which will be for powering a string of old School Goal Zero Light A Life 3 watt LED lanterns, charging up camera and flashlight batteries, and also charging up the new Goal Zero Lighthouse 400 lantern I just go too.
The Solar panel ships in a non padded canvas bag which I am not crazy about.
Now my Renogy 100 watt suitcase solar panel which I use only for charging my aux battery in the FJ Cruiser that runs the National Luna Weekender 50 Twin fridge/freezer ships with an excellent case that is padded.
The Goal Zero solar panel is taller, but it fits the Renogy case just fine.
Going to get in touch with Renogy and see if I can buy just a case from them.
In the part 2 video, I show the panel setup bringing in power to the Yeti 400 while it is charging up the 400 lantern, and also charging up a pair of 18650 lithium batteries I use in my Fenix flashlights and headlamp.
Do not expect to see 100 watts coming into the Yeti though, as it is very overcast.
Last time I checked it was around 7 watts coming in, but by the time I shoot part 2, the sun may be out more.
Goal Zero, please make a padded case for your solar panels, it would be way better than the flimsy canvas bags which are included now.
