When I wake up, I pray
For a feeling of life anew
Seeking shelter from within
Finding good reasons
Some sense of purpose
I go through this every day
To achieve a brand-new start
Finding it easier to love and
To appreciate the privilege
Of just being alive
 
Renewing my vow
I take a bow and pray
To allow what is happening
Don’t have to know
 
I get flooded with feelings

Brain stinging
Body trembling

Washed down in feelings

When I fall down, I pray
For a chance to get right
Believing in a powerful force
That helps me enjoy what is
To gain a sense of purpose
I follow through this every day
For a chance to start again
Sensing love from others and
Acknowledge the benefits
Of just being alive
