This an ode to the boy who was good at being alone
Finding life heartless
A consistent downcast
Running from it all
Thought he had freedom
Nothing was missing when there was nothing to be lost

Nothing lost
Nothing to miss
Not belonging
Won’t be long now

Before the beginning of a new end starts
Turning over before anything is done
Putting together a life that wasn’t broken
Holding on to old ideas about freedom
What a beautiful contradiction

This an ode to the boy who was always a bit lonely
Finding life meaningless
A constant inner pain
Running into new worlds
Thought he was independent
Everything in place but there was no place to belong

Nothing lost
Nothing to miss
Not belonging
Won’t be long now

Before the beginning of a new end starts
Turning over before anything is done
Putting together a life that wasn’t broken
Holding on to old ideas about freedom
What a beautiful contradiction
 
Marched to the beat of his own drum
Started with beating up the drummer
In this great resistance to join life
He escaped to where grief did not exist
How pleasant, to be alone, to be free
But in solitude there was always misery

This is not a surface experience
Through pain we become
Life through, life anew
