The Palm Beach County Commissioners made a big decision.
On Thursday, the county commissioners approved a massive rock mining project in western Palm Beach County, south of Lake Okeechobee.
The decision was approved in a 6-0 vote.
Palm Beach County Commissioners started discussing the project at about 2:30 p.m. And there were a lot of strong feelings on both sides of the issue.
"We have to and we will keep fighting!" said a woman who led a brief rally outside prior to the meeting.
