Описание: Do you have enough runway length to land? Performing a Landing Initialization (Landing INIT) will determine if you have enough runway to land based on projected landing weight, wind, and temperature at the destination airport. The FMS will be able to calculate the "unfactored" landing distance, which is what Part 91 flights use, and it will also calculate the more restrictive Part 135 (charter) landing distance requirements. The landing distance shown for Part 135 is called the "factored" distance. This is based on a dry runway. Should the runway be wet, Part 135 is even more restrictive because a landing airplane will require more runway use under wet conditions. This video will show you how to use LANDING INIT, and I've thrown in a few other items of interest regarding landing distance.
