Understanding "Knowing and Seeing"
In this context, "Seeing" and "Knowing" do not refer to the vision of our ordinary physical eyes (Pasāda-cakkhu). Instead, these terms are used to describe vision through the eye of wisdom (Paññā-cakkhu).
To see is to know; to know is to see. Regarding the question of which occurs first—knowing or seeing—it must be said that, by the very nature of Wisdom (Ñāṇa), both happen simultaneously.
