Doha, Qatar – First Shore Excursion of the Contract! 🇶🇦 | Crew Diary Ep.27 🛳️

Today was a special one—after weeks on board, I finally joined a shore excursion with guests here in Doha… and of course, nothing goes exactly as planned. 😅

I arrived a bit late to the meeting point, so the English-speaking bus had already left. But no worries—I hopped onto the bus with the Spanish-speaking guide, and surprisingly, I understood almost everything! 🎉

Our tour took us to three amazing spots in Doha:

🌟 Katara Cultural Village – We walked through the beautiful open-air cultural center while the guide shared fascinating facts about the place and about Qatar itself.
🌟 The Pearl Island – A glamorous stop with stunning architecture and postcard-perfect views.
🌟 Souq Waqif – One of my favorite parts of the day! We explored the market and enjoyed some free time. I tried a chapati with chicken and cheese… and wow, it was delicious. 🤤

The return trip turned into an adventure of its own. A kite festival near the port caused huge traffic jams, so almost all excursion buses—including ours—arrived back late. The ship waited for us, but I still had to run because I was already late for work. It was 5 p.m., the exact time I had to be at reception, and I still needed to go to my cabin to change into my uniform!

Luckily, my manager understood the situation and everything turned out fine.
