Queen Christina of Sweden became queen at the age of six after the death of her father. She was known for her intelligence, wit, and love of learning, which made her stand out among the monarchs of her time.

Christina was known for her unconventional behavior, which often shocked the people of her time. She dressed in men's clothing, enjoyed fencing, and had close relationships with women, which some historians believe may have been romantic. In 1654, she made the controversial decision to abdicate the throne and convert to Catholicism, which was seen as a betrayal by many of her Protestant subjects.

After her abdication, Christina traveled throughout Europe, meeting with many of the great thinkers and artists of her time. She eventually settled in Rome, where she continued to pursue her intellectual interests until her death in 1689.
