A longer day made easier by an initial 10km road walk following Ettrick Water down the valley. That got us ahead for the day. We said goodbye to the German boys as it would be the last time we would see them. A sharp left turn after 10km had us following a series of saddles before we descended onto the eastern edge of St Mary's Loch. After rounding the lock we headed back into the hills to a wild camp halfway to Blackhouse
