With the full scale Metro Tunnel operations commencing from the 1st of February 2026, several last-time operations occurred in Melbourne on that morning. In this video we document two of the more significant ones, being the last ever HCMT running a service through the City Loop at midnight, and the last ever Comeng running to Sunbury at 6AM before the line was taken over by the HCMTs running through the Metro Tunnel.
