Welcome to Day 4 of the Move With Care 5-Day Strength Series!
Today’s session focuses on functional strength, practicing movements you use every day, such as standing up, stepping, reaching and carrying.
This 10-minute chair-supported strength workout for seniors can be done standing with a chair for support, or seated.
🛒 What we’re working on today:
Strength for daily activities
Walking and stepping confidence
Safe reaching and carrying movements
Coordination and control
🪑 What you’ll need:
A chair
🧘♀️ Today’s exercises include:
Marching
Sit-to-stand
Back lunges or backward steps
Reach and pull movements
Carry simulation
Step-touch
Hip circles
Stretching
✨ Chair support is encouraged, seated options are always available.
Please consult your healthcare professional before starting any new exercise routine. Move within your comfort level and stop if you feel pain or unwell.
Remember: You can pause at any time, hold the chair as much as you need, or choose the seated option.
