Veg Chinese Pakoda Recipe/Veg Dry Manchurian
🥕 Ingredients
½ cabbage (finely chopped)
1 capsicum (finely chopped)
1 onion (finely chopped)
1 carrot (grated)
Chopped coriander leaves
Other Ingredients:
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp black pepper powder
1½ tsp red chilli powder
1½ tbsp dark soy sauce
Salt to taste
1 small bowl maida (all-purpose flour) + 1 more small bowl later
2 tbsp cornflour
Oil for deep frying
👩🍳 Instructions :-
1) First, finely chop the cabbage, capsicum, and onion.
2) Grate the carrot separately.
3) In a large bowl, add cabbage first, then capsicum, carrot, and onion.
4) Add ginger-garlic paste, black pepper powder, red chilli powder, soy sauce, salt, and chopped coriander leaves.
5) Add 1 small bowl maida and 2 tbsp cornflour.
Mix everything well without adding water, as cabbage releases water and helps in binding.
6) After mixing, add 1 more small bowl of maida and mix again properly.
(Tip: If it does not bind, add 2–3 tbsp water little by little. Do not add too much.)
7) Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
8) Slightly wet your hands and drop small balls (pakodas) into hot oil.
9) If sticky, wet your hands again before shaping the next one.
10) Stir gently with a spoon or fork to separate them if they stick.
11) Keep stirring occasionally so they cook evenly and get golden from all sides.
12) Fry all pakodas like this until crispy and golden brown.
