In this video 🎥
Our Butser hill climb started from Queen Elizabeth Country park.This 5 mile hike up to the summit of Butser hill the steepest on the south downs way had us passing the BT arial tower and onto its summit at 271 meters. Butser Hill is the highest point of this popular trail from Winchester to Eastbourne known as The South Downs Way!
Coming off Butser hill summit we head over to little Butser, a great little known detour of the main route.
After admiring the views over Petersfield we head to Ramsdean Down and off its chalky slopes to Rakes Bottom (locally known as Grandfathers Bottom) 🤭 climbing out of the valley we were treated to grazing Highland cows an incredible sight on the South Downs!
