Russian Strikes ESCALATE: Claims New Territorial Gains, Ukraine Reports Heavy Fighting, Outages

Описание: Russia said its armed forces took control of two settlements in the Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions over the past 24 hours, as fighting intensified along multiple sections of the frontline. According to Russia’s Ministry of Defense, strikes were carried out on 150 military-related locations, including sites used to transport Western-supplied weapons, ammunition and fuel depots, as well as temporary deployment areas for Ukrainian forces and foreign fighters. Russian air defence units also reported shooting down 18 drones and intercepting three HIMARS rockets.

Ukraine’s General Staff said its forces engaged in 151 combat clashes with Russian troops during the same period, successfully repelling dozens of attacks across several directions. Ukrainian missile, air and artillery units targeted concentrations of Russian forces, while Kyiv said it downed around 400 Russian tactical drones. Separately, Ukraine’s state power company reported widespread electricity outages in the Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Sumy regions, blaming Russian strikes on energy infrastructure.
